This song is based on the set Psalm for todayPSALM IN THIS SLOT
Our time of Confession:
Almighty and most merciful Father,
we have wandered and strayed from your ways
like lost sheep.
We have followed too much the devices and desires
of our own hearts.
We have offended against your holy laws.
We have left undone those things
that we ought to have done;
and we have done those things
that we ought not to have done;
and there is no health in us.
But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us sinners.
Spare those who confess their faults.
Restore those who are penitent,
according to your promises declared to mankind
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake,
that we may live a disciplined, righteous and godly life,
to the glory of your holy name.
May the Father of all mercies
cleanse us from our sins,
and restore us in his image
to the praise and glory of his name,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

EXTRA SONG IN THIS SLOT
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory
are yours now
and for ever.
Let us pray for the revelation of Christ to those from whom his glory is hidden:
(name those known to you in each section below)
The Prime Minister, Government,and those seeking to control the virus;
O Lord, open their eyes, reveal Yourself to them and lead them
The Health and Emergency staff who are working day and night;
O Lord, open their eyes, reveal Yourself to them and grant them strength and peace
The sick, the bereaved and the lonely ;
O Lord, open their eyes, reveal Yourself to them and bring them health and peace
Students and Pupils unable to gain a full education;
O Lord, open their eyes, reveal Yourself to them give them wisdom
Those on furlough or who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own;
O Lord, open their eyes, reveal Yourself to them and provide for them
For all of us at this time;
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with us all,
now and evermore.
Collect Prayer for 2nd Sunday of Epiphany
our beginning and our end:
bring us with the whole creation
to your glory, hidden through past ages
and made known
in Jesus Christ our Lord.
