You can click on a map to see it larger.

Walks are on the last Saturday of month except where in red

Bank Holiday Monday

January 3rd

Brent River Park and Wembley Park

A 5 to 6 mile walk around Wembley, as seen in this 2020 "Saturday Club" Video.

Meet at The ACE Cafe at 11am (earlier if you want to use the cafe) and end at St James Church.

Saturday January 29th

Trent Park

A 5 mile route. The park has woodlands, lakes and other features as well as a cafe. Start at OAKWOOD station at 11am and end at COCKFOSTERS. ... though the Piccadilly line does take a long time getting there and it is quicker by car.

Saturday February 26th

Bushey to Hatch End

A 6 mile stroll through woods and fields, starting on a disused railway line before climbing gently into Oxhey woods and passing Pinnerwood Farm. There's a Wetherspoons by Hatch End station at the end. Start BUSHEY (11am) and end HATCH END Overground stations.

Saturday March 26th

Fryent, Barn Hill & Welsh Harp Country Parks

Every walk someone mentions this great country park in Wembley, so this time we do it. If using public transport meet at Wembley Park station at 10:30am for a 6.5 mile walk (you can drive up to the top of Barn Hill and save a mile off the route total if you prefer).

Saturday April 30th

Coulsdon to Caterham

The hills of South London feature in this walk, but we will take it gently as we walk for a bit less than 5 miles and enjoy great views before ending in a little known town in the valley. Meet at either Victoria Station (11am) or, if it's easier for you, Clapham Junction (11:15am on platform 15).

Saturday May 28th

Ricky Lakes

This gentle stroll (no hills this time!) takes us around the lakes and along the canal in Rickmansworth. It's 5 and a half miles of waterside walking. Start and finish at Rickmansworth station, meet there at 11am.

Saturday July 9th

The Regent's Park

A stroll in the Park, what could be nicer? Length depends on who turns up, the weather and more. A gentle two miles or a longer walk of up to 6? Meet outside BAKER STREET station by Sherlock Holmes statue at 10:30am.

Saturday August 27th

Epping Forest

We last walked in the Forest just before Lockdown in 2020, this time we walk south to north from Chingford station to Epping station. It's 8 and a half miles of walking and there are hills and valleys but the good news is it's a gravel path so we will avoid mud. Meet at Euston station at 10:30am to travel together to Chingford Overground station.

Saturday October 1st

Chesham Loop

We head out in to the Chiltern Hills, but it's a gentle walk with only one real hill. Our 6 miles begin at Chesham Metropolitan line station at 11am (2 trains per hour from Wembley Park) and we walk through a wonderful Chiltern valley before crossing a hill to return to the country town that is Chesham.

Saturday October 29th

Cheshunt Loop

The name is almost the same but the scenery is very different. This time we are back to walking around lakes and rivers, so no hills. It's 6 miles on good surface so there won't be any mud. We meet at Euston at 10:30am to travel together to Cheshunt Overground station.

Saturday November 26th

Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park

7 and a half miles through parks, commons and riverside for a perfect autumn walk. We meet at Wimbledon Park District Line station at 11am for this month's walk.

Saturday December 31st

The London & Greenwich Railway

London's oldest railway and Britain's longest viaduct. This is a town walk along an old route full of historic places as well as recently refurbished areas. It's an area of London you probably do not know at all! We meet at London Bridge station at 11am.
